Traveling in Style
Today, we travel comfortably and quickly, with air conditioning and real-time traffic updates. Yet not so long ago, the journey itself was already part of the adventure.
These photographs were gifted to Signora Tina by one of the very first guests of the former Pensione Gardenia—a family who would later become returning visitors and dear friends. In 1957, they travelled over the Brenner Pass and along Lake Garda in their Volkswagen Beetle. Imagine driving these winding roads in such an iconic car, when time moved more slowly and every mile was an experience.
